Project Details:

Following a competitive tender process J P Carpentry Solutions Ltd were pleased to be appointed carpentry labour by Jarvis Contracting to a new build crematorium in Bierton. The Crematorium was being built on behalf of Chiltern District Council.

We pride ourselves in our wealth of experience and thinking outside the box which assisted in this unusual design and build project.

The construction consisted of a single storey crematorium with a large chapel, waiting areas and ancillary spaces. The carpentry labour involved fitting double height doors, windows, timber rainscreen cladding, dual pitched sedum roof by the chapel then fitting a kitchen and doors within the staff facility area.

Due to the large scale sized doors health and safety was always at the forefront of our minds to eliminate manual handling risk.

The end result was a peaceful elegant building that was awarded a prestigious RIBA South Award.
